Here are some photos we took at the Marina Bay Sands (MBS) shoppes.
The entire mall area is not open yet. It is being worked on in phases. Construction was in progress when we visited so I assume when it is ready, it will be a massive complex of luxury brands, restaurants, boutiques and shoppes. Everything gleamed and glittered and shone like the biggest bling in the world.
If you want to be in a place which dripped money, you have to see the gorgeous shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. And it’s not Shop, it’s Shoppe!
What we saw was quite impressive!
Did you know that Daniel Boulud’s DB Bistro Moderne will be opening soon in MBS? It is to be a “contemporary, seasonally inspired French cuisine in a casual setting”.
He’s not the only one. There’s Santi from chef Santi Santamaria of Barcelona, Guy Savoy by chef Guy Savoy of Paris, Waku Ghin by chef Tetsuya Wakuda of Sydney, CUT by chef Wolfgang Puck from LA and The Sky on 57 by Singaporean Justin Quek. It’s like the all-star dining line-up from all corners of the globe in MBS to tempt your tastebuds to unknown pleasures.
These aren’t the only dining outlets either. The not-so-famous cafes and bistros are also opening soon so it will be a variety of everything for everyone, not just the posh diners.
When we were in Macau, we visited The Venetian, touted the most glamorous place in Macau. What we saw in MBS is much more glamorous, more high-end and more classy than the unnaturally painted blue sky in The Venetian. If you want to see what glitz and glam is, you don’t need to go to The Venetian. You just get to MBS and you ogle away.
The list of brands reads like the who’s who and what’s what of the fashion and retail world. Some I had never heard of either. But each shoppe is a design marvel – an experience in itself.
