Writing a book is hard work.
Updating and revising a book is even tougher.
We’re in the midst of revising and updating our book, Web Wisdom, which we self-published in 2016.
So much has happened since then. If you bought our book, thank you. If you haven’t bought it and this is your first time hearing about it, you’re just in time!

We could have left this book as it is but many clients and readers have expressed interest in buying more copies.
We didn’t feel it was right to sell books that contained 2016 information (although much of our book is quite evergreen – this was intentional from the time we drafted our content). Much of the book is still valid but we figured it was time to update and revise our book given that so much has happened in the world of technology.
Some software and apps are obsolete already or changed names.
Google My Business became Google Business Profile, Twitter is now X (and has a new competitor in Meta’s Threads). Buying and selling online through ecommerce has grown incredibly quickly during the global pandemic lockdown period.
Livestreaming which used to be a novelty not to mention expensive and clunky to set up is now common, inexpensive and easy. Anyone can start a live stream with free technology.
Zoom calls, online webinars and Google Meets are now the norm.
And equally fascinating is the emergence of ChatGPT and all manner of software based on AI (Artificial Intelligence) which have made us either excited, upset or anxious!
Facebook’s popularity is overtaken by LinkedIn in the past few years and TikTok has become far more exciting for the younger generation.
In the midst of these developments, exciting as they may be, we still needed our book to stay relevant.
So you can imagine our challenge when we decided to update our book. What to remove was clear – anything outdated and old was removed. But what to include became a headache!
Should we add this chapter? What should we remove so that there are no references to technology or software or even websites that are not going to exist in the next 3 years? We gave much thought to all this as we were revising our book.
It mattered to us that our book should be a rewarding read through our experience, advice and strategies. It should make you feel that your time was amply rewarded and you derived great value from each chapter.
No matter who reads our book – business owners, web designers, copywriters, IT managers, CEOs, doctors, consultants or coaches – they can do something with our knowledge.
So that’s been our challenge for a while now but we’re almost there with the revision. We hope to get it published before the year is out.
If you want to be kept updated about our book, get on our list and we will email you when it comes out.
