Did you know that you can now transfer your PayPal funds to your Malaysian bank account?

Not a dream. Not a typo. Not a joke.

No more circumventing stuff, no more going to Singapore and opening a Singaporean account just so you can get your PayPal dough.

Finally!

Haven’t we all waited far too bloody long for this significant even to happen. Finally you can accept PayPal in Malaysia.

About time, ya!

We have been (ahem) recognised and upgraded whereby our PayPal dough can be easily, happily taken out out of the USA to our local banks -all the banks seem to be there, from RHB to Maybank to Public Bank and more.

What does this mean for you?

Lots!

Doing ecommerce will no longer be such a freaking headache anymore. You don’t have to worry about not being able to get your hands on your (rightful) money. You can sell more online, do more online business.

Malaysia is finally in that reputable category where we’re not pariahs anymore.

How to Really Get Down and Do It

I went snooping around and here’s the step-by-step procedure for all you need to know on getting the money out to your bank account.

1. How to transfer money from PayPal to your local/Malaysian bank account

If you withdraw more than RM400, it’s free. If less than that, RM3 applies.

2. How to transfer money from PayPal to your debit card

A flat RM20 fee applies.

So yeah, it’s about time PayPal finally recognizes us Malaysians. Isn’t this exciting?
