Every December, we promise ourselves we’ll slow down — that we’ll finally pause, reflect, and recharge before the new year begins.

But if we’re honest, most of us don’t.

And then January arrives — and we’re expected to leap into new goals, new energy, and a new start… even though we never really closed the old chapter.

What if this year, you did it differently?

What if you made time — consciously and kindly — to look back at your year and ask:

  • What did I learn?
  • What am I proud of?
  • What do I want to carry forward into the next chapter?

Reflection isn’t about dwelling on what didn’t happen. It’s about recognising how much you’ve grown, what you’ve overcome, and how you can design what comes next — with intention.

Let’s consciously close our year

I have always been a conscious year-end closer, if you want to call it that. And Rowena too. We prefer to close our year well so that we can begin the next one with intention too.

It’s with this in mind that we decided to create Your Year By Design — a two-session guided program for women who want to close their year with meaning and begin the next one with clarity and excitement. (And honestly, we were going to do this for ourselves anyway even if we didn’t create this program.)

Trust me, this is not about goal setting. It is your pause and your space to reflect, celebrate and plan your year with structure and hope!

And the best part is we’re not just your guides and facilitators – we are doing it alongside you.

We’ll be reflecting on our own journeys, too — celebrating the wins, acknowledging the lessons and intentionally designing our next steps for 2026.

But you could also do this on your own. Why do it with us? Yes, you could do it on your own. But there’s a different energy when you share your dreams and wins with others. You get imbued with ideas and encouragement or gain answers to questions or connect with people or learn strategies that have worked.

Why closing chapters matter

I ask myself – why does it matter to close my year well?

I want to begin my 2026 grounded and focused. I want to embrace gratitude and purpose when I step into the new year because I know I have reflected on this year.

I release myself from the guilt, self-recriminations, unfinished business and more. And I get to share my wins and dreams with a group of women who understand what this means.

So Your Year By Design consists of 2 online sessions, 90 minutes each, on 28 November and 3 December, to help you:

🌸 Reflect on your year intentionally
🌸 Recognize your growth and lessons
🌸 Design your 2026 with purpose and hope (and dream a little more!)

If you’ve been craving a moment to pause — to think and realign and dream again — and connect with other women who feel the same way, we’d love for you to join us. Registration closes 20 November.
