I read this story of David Butler and I instantly thought, wow.
Imagine a designer who helps coordinate the design for one of the biggest brands in the world, who does not have a shred of ego, and does not lapse into design speak. And best part of all, he’s not a designer designer.
He’s really there at Coke to help them sell more stuff.
That’s what I’ve been saying for years about us here. We’re not designers in that we play with design and do cool stuff and add bling bling and more bling bling.
Hah. Prove to me that those add-ons can make you real money. Most times, they can’t and they’re used just to hike up the price.
Which in most cases, you don’t need to pay for because they’re eye candy and of no absolute use.
What we’re here to do is: We’re here to help your business get more customers and sell more stuff.
How?
By designing you a better strategized website.
A better strategized website means everything to a business these days. If you’re not on the web, there’s only 2 explanations. You either have a heck of a business where you don’t need more customers (maybe like some hawkers I know who hate publicity because they cannot cope with extra customers) or you are afraid of going online.
I hope you’re in the first category.
Anyway, we’re done with telling business owners why they should have a website. In fact, if a business owner needs to be persuaded that he needs a website right now, he’s living in the dark ages.
In fact, we’re probably done with most business owners who don’t seem to get it.
Which is OK with us because we’re usually focusing on business owners who DO get it. These are the people we enjoy helping because each time we help a business owner, their businesses double and triple! If this is the case, we might as well like the client we’re helping to grow rich, right?
So in your business, if you really extend lots of value to your customers, think of who you really want to work with and have good business relationships with.
Then focus on these fantastic customers.
