Update: In view of the coronavirus or COVID19 when people are encouraged to work from home, these apps will definitely be useful for everyone, not just business owners, entrepreneurs or freelancers. 

As a business owner or entrepreneur, you may often find yourself racing for time trying to complete all your tasks and attend to your responsibilities, be it work or family related. We know, we’ve been there ourselves!

That’s why we decided to create this list of productivity tools to help you organise your tasks and create shortcuts where possible to save time. And they are all FREE!

Email Like A Pro 
Boomerang is an app that sits in your Gmail Chrome browser and allows you t o schedule your emails so you don’t have to log in at inconvenient times (especially when communicating with overseas clients). You can also schedule the follow-up and read again reminders so you don’t lose track of your emails.

Another Gmail app that helps organise your emails is GMass which is similar to an autoresponder. You can use it to send email campaigns and automatic follow-ups. This saves you the time and trouble of having to write a new email or multiple forwarding if you have a large client list.

Grammar Checker 
While you are at it, add Grammarly a language proficiency app that corrects grammar and spelling on your emails, social media and documents as you write.

Share Big Files 
And if you have big files to send over try HighTail, a cool new way to share large documents, images and videos without having to attach to your emails.

Video Like You’re The Pro
Have you tried video apps to boost your website traffic? You can use ViewedIt and Quik by GoPro are video editing tools you can use to create, edit, send and track. Make product demos and presentations that you can add to your website to enhance the visitor experience.

Design Like A Pro 
Designing promotional materials can be time-consuming not to mention a pain if you aren’t familiar with the professional software. Canva, on the other hand, is made for people who have little or no designer background, having ready-made templates, images and fonts that you add to your choice of background. You can try scrolling through DesignerPics for a selection of free high-resolution images that are more suited to your business or campaign.

Can’t copy and paste or download a specific text or image from the site you are looking at? Use Awesome Screenshot to capture any part of a screen page that you want to save or share. Just download the app and the icon will be added to your search bar making it easy to access and use.

Network Like A Pro 
A mobile app that we highly recommend you saved to your smartphone is CamCard which you can use to scan business cards and the information is accurately logged into your device. No need to worry about losing an important contact or having to organise a drawer full of business cards.

Teach Online Easily
While using Facebook Live is one option, you may want to record your screen and camera at the same time if you’re teaching others. You can use RecordScreen to teach or train your team or clients. This web-based software is free to use.
