We’re back again with this month’s Level Up Hangout on 25 September (this will be Level Up #4) with even better networking and learning and cafe hopping!
(Here are last month’s Level Up photos – we were at Secawan & Such Cafe. If you are ever there, try their scrumptious Mr Benedict and Ms Bernaise breakfast sets. They can last you till tea time, that’s how protein-rich the breakfasts are!)
So…..food aside, if last month we had Russell Stedman talking about how he quit his corporate job to focus on producing his inaugural music album (the album’s already on sale so check it out here), this month we’ve invited someone to talk about the good, the bad and the funny of running your own e-commerce website or online store.
Besides our “mystery guest speaker”, Nic will also be giving more examples of business innovation for small businesses (which gets everyone super excited because there’s always a live demo or show-and-tell) so make sure you don’t miss out.
This round, we will be meeting at Monkey Cup Cafe which is on Jalan Chow Thye, off Jalan Burma.
As promised, each month we try out a new cafe while we meet with friends and clients in a casual environment.
Participating in our Level Up Hangout is free but you must let us know you’re attending as space is limited. (And don’t you think it’s rude to just waltz in without letting your host know you’re attending?)
When you attend, you can either buy a cup of coffee or have a meal to support the cafe. It’s the least we can do to support our homegrown cafe circles.
Monkey Cup Cafe is a little different from most Western-style cafes in that it serves, besides the usual coffee, cakes and burgers, Thai food like somtam, pad thai, fried rice and more. I can tell you, their somtam really perks up your tummy for the other carb-rich Thai meals.
If you’re attending, note that you can park behind the cafe (there’s an open air PDC car park behind the row of shops).
My “mystery guest speaker” tells me you may just get to win something if you attend.
So what are you waiting for? It’s FREE, it’s fun, it’s educational AND it’s a great way to spend your Thursday evening.
See you there! (Sign up here first!)
