Redbox X-Factor – inspired by the deadly martial art of Wing Chun – has created fantastic results for our clients. Imagine what Redbox X-Factor can do for you!
Wing Chun’s beginnings are legendary. Some 200 years ago in China, this martial art was secretly taught and passed down from one generation to another. The martial art, known as Wing Chun (or Perpetual Spring), was as mysterious as it was deadly. Few had seen it in action but those who have seen it or even fought with martial artists using Wing Chun would often come to regret it.
Among the various forms of Chinese martial art, Wing Chun stands out for its simplicity. For Wing Chun enthusiasts, there are only three forms or patterns to know, learn and practise. Wing Chun doesn’t emphasize muscle strength (you don’t need to have a strong physique to learn it). What’s even more amazing, you can fight with your eyes blindfolded – you don’t even need to know what your opponent is doing!
Wing Chun is simple and deadly. Its secret? A thorough understanding of human psychology within a detailed, well-structured and incredibly efficient system!
How Wing Chun Became Popular
In 1949, a man called Yip Man decided to leave his village in Foshan, China for Hong Kong. Times were tough in China (it was just after World War Two) but he believed he could find work in Hong Kong. He had grown up in a wealthy household but lost everything during the war.
With his scholarly background, he didn’t have the skills to become a labourer. No one would hire him.
The only skill he had was his knowledge of Wing Chun, a martial art that he had learnt since young.
He never wanted to open a Wing Chun class because he knew that this martial art in the wrong hands could be fatal. When he could not find work and feed his family, close friends persuaded him to teach Wing Chun.
The martial art classes became so popular that soon he was known as Master Yip Man. His most notable student was the legendary Bruce Lee (who went on to establish his own martial art system called Jeet Kune Do).

How We Apply Wing Chun Principles Into Your Business
Redbox X-Factor enabled our clients to get more profitable customers and become much more effective at marketing. What would you like to achieve?
Take Your Position
In Wing Chun:
You must first start at your proper position if you want to win a fight. The challenge is getting into position BEFORE the fight begins.
During the fight, you need to constantly adjust yourself so that you are always in the winning position.
What This Means In Business:
You must have a competitive advantage before you start a business. Once you have a competitive advantage, you should always improve it so that your customers acknowledge that you’re really their best option.
Constant Contact
In Wing Chun:
Always maintain hand contact with your opponent so that you can feel and predict following movements. When you do not feel any resistance or push back when maintaining hand contact, attack immediately and disarm his centre line (head or body).
What This Means In Business:
Always be top of mind with your customers. Follow up with your customers so that you can continue to understand their problems and needs. This gives you opportunity to offer services and products which help solve their problems. When you can do this, you will have a neverending supply of customers!
Do Not Chase Hand
In Wing Chun:
Unlike other martial arts, Wing Chun does not encourage reacting towards the opponent such as blocking a punch. For Wing Chun martial artists, it is a waste of time trying to block or prevent the opponent from attacking.
Wing Chun focuses on attacking the opponent’s centre line, comprising his head and body. This means finding the shortest possible route to hit his head or body.
What This Means In Business:
Always focus on the results your customers can achieve after they buy your product or service. It is pointless to react to what your competition is doing. It is also a waste of energy when you are attracted to the latest fad or technology because this means you’re not focusing on the thing that matters.
Using Ground Energy
In Wing Chun:
Always use energy from the ground and not the strength of your muscles.
That is why a smaller sized person using Wing Chun can outdo his larger and more muscular opponent.
What This Means In Business:
Always use your own resources to improve your products and services first before you start marketing to your customers.
In this way, you won’t waste time or energy to convince or beg prospects to buy your products!
