Robert emailed us last week because he’s one of the 50 must-know expats in Malaysia. What we love most is that he said, “Having the website helped”. Read the part we bolded in his email below.
It’s lovely to be honoured when a client gets honoured. Especially when he’s in the list with a whole list of notables such Datuk Jean Todt, Joe Hafsham, Dato Peter Gilmour, Matthias Gelber, Richard Gardner and Narelle McMurtrie.
Congratulations, Robert! We’re so glad we know you too!

Hi, it’s official, I’m been named one of the “50 Expats You Should Know” in the January 2010 issue of Expatriate Lifestyle! Both books got a mention and my website, too. Hope I can leverage this in a big way. Sounds like a nice marketing angle too.
According to Expatriate Lifestyle, Robert Raymer is one of “50 Expats You Should Know” and what a better way to get to know him than through his books, Lovers and Strangers Revisited, winner of 2009 Popular-The Star Reader’s Choice Awards, and his latest book from MPH, Tropical Affairs: Episodes from an Expat’s Life!
What a great way to start 2010! Here’s the link to their website.
I have no idea how I was chosen — there are way too many other expats doing great things for Malaysia. Having the website helped. When they contacted me they mentioned it, and no doubt the publicity from winning the Popular Reader’s Choice Award from the write up in The Star! Let’s see what this can lead, too! All the best and Happy New Year!, Robert
